My phone uses a large amount of mobile data

If your phone uses a large amount of mobile data, there may be several causes of the problem.

Solution 1 of 3: Automatic mobile data usage is turned on
You can set your phone to use mobile data automatically when the connection to the Wi-Fi network is weak. To turn automatic use of mobile data on or off, you need to turn on mobile data .

Slide your finger downwards starting from the top of the screen.

Press the settings icon.

Press Connections.

Press Wi-Fi.

Press the indicator to turn on the function.

Press the menu icon.

Press Advanced.

Step 8 of 9

Press the indicator next to "Switch to mobile data" to turn the function on or off.

Press the Home key to return to the home screen.

Solution 2 of 3: Automatic update of apps via mobile network is turned on
You can set your phone to update apps automatically so you always have the newest versions installed.

Press Play Store.

Press Settings.

Press Auto-update apps.

To turn on automatic update of apps using mobile network, press Over any network Data charges may apply.

To turn on automatic update of apps using Wi-Fi, press Over Wi-Fi only.

To turn off automatic update of apps, press Don't auto-update apps.

Press DONE.

Press the Home key to return to the home screen.

Solution 3 of 3: Notifications are turned on
When you turn on notifications, you will be notified about various events such as new email messages, messages from social networks and calendar appointments.
