Why have I been charged for calls in a country I haven't visited?

  • Go to section

This can happen if you get very close to the border of another country that isn’t in the EU, as you can pick up signal from cross-border operators.

To counter a double charge, make sure you’re on the right operator in your device settings.

If you want to discuss your roaming charges, you can:

call 150 from your EE phone

or call +44 (0)7953 966 250 from any other phone

If the matter still isn't resolved to your satisfaction, there are a number of ways you can make a complaint.

How much does it cost to use data, send texts or make calls abroad?
Will I pay extra to use 4G while roaming?
