ROAMING CHARGES
Text RO followed by the name of the country to 150 to see if EU roaming is included in your plan.
Check charges before you go and find out how to keep costs down when you're abroad
Or choose a holiday hotspot:
Before your trip remember to:
Make sure your device is set up to roam by texting ROAMING to 150 (it's free)
Turn on data roaming in your device settings. Check our device guides for help
Check your Spend Cap is high enough to cover your daily roaming charges for the duration of your trip (we recommend at least £20). Otherwise some of your services might not work when you're roaming
Check your phone is set to automatic network selection (this is so your phone will pick the best network)
Turn off WiFi Calling or you will be charged international rates if you make calls over WiFi while abroad. WiFi Calling is only supported in the UK. Check our device guides for help
Follow these steps for each SIM or device you have on your account
To avoid being charged for roaming when you're not travelling, make sure to:
- turn off roaming in the EE app
- turn off data roaming on your device
- avoid making or answering any calls whilst roaming is switched on
If you travel to the EU, text ROAMEU to 150 to enable EU-only roaming. This will make sure you don't connect to any mobile networks that are not in the EU, so you don't get charged.
