Set up your Apple TV 4K

If you haven’t set up your Apple TV 4K already, follow our step-by-step guide.

If you need any more support, Apple’s TV support page can help solve any issues during set-up, or if you’re having problems with your Apple TV.

It’s recommended that you set EE as your TV provider. You’ll only need to do this once.

Open the EE TV app on your TV.
Select Allow when it asks you to allow "EE TV" to use your TV Provider subscription.
This will only appear If you haven't allowed EE TV as your TV subscription during first-time Apple TV set up.
Select Continue, when it asks you to sign in automatically using your home broadband.
Choose your location from the options and tap Select.
You'll be prompted to choose a PIN for parental controls and making payment
Once you’ve confirmed the PIN select Continue.
You’ll be asked if you want to select an age rating for the content you’re viewing. Select the age restriction you want or select Not Now.
Select Enter EE TV to start watching your favourite entertainment or select Sign in to ITVX to access ITV channels (you can sign in now or when you watch an ITV channel for the first time, you can find out how to by reading How to watch ITV channels below.

If you want to watch ITV channels through the EE TV app, you’ll need to sign into ITV X app first.

How to sign into ITV X:

If signing in during set up, select Sign in to ITVX
or if you're signing in for the first time while watching an ITV channel, select Sign in.
You'll see a pop up, select whether you want to accept tracking for a more personalised experience.
The ITVX app will open.
You'll be asked to accept ITVX's privacy policy, select Got It.
Choose whether you want ITVX to track your activity across other companies' apps and websites.
More information will be provided around cookies, select Continue.
Choose whether you want to allow ITVX to use your location.
Enter your postcode or Skip this step, if you skip this step, some shows may be unavailable in the ITVX App.
Select Sign in to ITVX or select Register if you don't already have an account.
Once signed in or registered, ITVX will ask to open EE TV, select Open to watch ITV in the EE TV app.
