How do I connect my aerial to my EE TV box?

How do I connect my aerial to my EE TV box?

If you have a working aerial cable, connect it to the IN socket on your EE TV box.

Alternatively, if you have an aerial wall socket but no cable, use the aerial cable and the adaptor we sent you with your EE TV box and connect it to the IN socket.

You'll need to have the correct type of digital aerial for EE TV. If you already receive these channels on these numbers, then you have the correct type of digital aerial.

    ITV2 on channel 6

    Dave on channel 12

    ITV3 on channel 10

    Music on channel 18

No rooftop aerial?

Find a registered fitter at getmedigital or CAI Trade Gateway.

Alternatively, you could use an indoor aerial but the signal may not be strong enough.

Or if you live in a block of flats there might be a communal aerial but you may need to check with your landlord or housing association to see if there's one set up.

In both cases, if you already get Freeview, you’re probably okay for EE TV.

How do I connect my EE TV box with my router?

How do I connect my EE TV box with my router?

Plug your Ethernet cable into your EE TV box and then plug the other end into a spare yellow socket on your router. If you're not getting an internet connection try plugging the Ethernet cable into a laptop to make sure your cable’s working properly.

Once your EE TV box is switched on, you’ll have the option to connect using WiFi. You’ll need your password and username to do this – they’re on a sticker on your router.

How do I enter my WiFi password?

You need to use the number pad on your EE TV remote control.

Numbers and letters, both lowercase and uppercase, can be entered with your remote and to get letters you'll need to press a number key multiple times to scroll through the available options e.g press the 8 number key to select t, u, v, T, U, V or 8

So to get uppercase letters, e.g T from the example above, you would need to press the 8 number key four times.

Good to know:

If your router and your EE TV box are too far apart to get a good signal over WiFi, you could try using Powerline adaptors.
