Google Nexus 7-add an email account

Here's how to add an email account on your Google Nexus 7 tablet.

  1. Start on your Home screen and tap the All applications button.
  2. Scroll to and select Email.
  3. Type in your email address, and tap Enter.
  4. Enter your email account's password and tap Manual Setup.
  5. Select Account type from POP3, IMAP or Exchange ( is POP3).

Incoming server settings:

  1. Enter your username.
  2. Make sure your account password is entered.
  3. Enter the server details ( is
  4. Enter security type ( is set to none).
  5. Enter port number ( is 110).
  6. Delete email from server - choose this option if you want to delete your emails from the Orange server.
  7. Tap Next.

Outgoing server settings:

  1. Enter the SMTP server ( is
  2. Enter the security type ( is set to none).
  3. Enter port number ( is 587).
  4. Require sign-in - tick this option.
  5. Username - tap in the username you want to use.
  6. Password - tap in your chosen password.
  7. Tap Next.

Account options:

  1. Check frequency - tap in how often you want your account to check for new emails.
  2. Send email from this account by default - choose if you want to use this account as your main email account.
  3. Notify me when email arrives - choose if you want your tablet to notify you when you get a new email.
  4. Sync email from this account - choose if you want to synchronise your contacts to this email account.
  5. Auto download attachments when connected to WiFi - choose if you want to automatically download large files such as PDFs and pictures from incoming emails.
  6. Tap Next.

Account setup:

  1. Account name - tap in the name of your account.
  2. Your name - tap in the name you want to show as the sender of your emails.
  3. Tap Next.

That's it, you're ready to use email on your Google Nexus 7.
