Bright Box 2 Wireless Router - change security to WPA

You can change wireless settings to WPA2, WPA or back to the default WPA/WPA2 Mixed Mode settings from the router's admin pages. To do this:

  1. From a computer connected to your Bright Box, go to (opens in a new tab or window)

    Enter into browser address bar

  2. The router's LOGIN SCREEN will open

  3. Enter the username and password for the admin pages

    - The username is admin (all lower case)
    - The password can be found on a sticker on the bottom of your router

  4. Click LOGIN

    Enter the username and password for the router's admin pages

  5. The STATUS page will open

  6. Select BASIC from the menu

    Select Basic from the EE menu

  7. Select Wireless Settings

    Select Wireless Settings

  8. The WIRELESS SETTINGS page will open
  9. In the security field, make sure WPA is selected
  10. In the WPA mode menu, you can choose the version of WPA you wish to use - default settings are WPA/WPA2 Mixed Mode

    - WPA/WPA2 Mixed mode is compatible with most operating systems
    - WPA offers increased compatibility with older operating systems, but is limited to 54 Mbps
    - WPA2 offers enhanced security, and up-to 300Mbps wireless n speeds and up-to 867Mbps wireless ac speeds on your internet network
    - If you're connected to the 5GHz network, you can also change 5GHz settings from the 5GHz menu



  12. Your new settings will be applied

  13. Refresh your wireless software and connect using the new security details
