Your neighbour's WiFi, computers, microwave ovens, baby monitors and all your lovely gizmos give off signals that can affect your wireless connection. Not good. Changing the channel or frequency on your Bright Box 2 can help fix the problem. There's a few solutions you can try:
- Swap to 5GHz
- Using Intelligent Wireless
- Change your channel from the admin pages
Swap to 5GHz
Your Bright Box 2 supports both 5GHz and 2.4GHz wireless - sometimes called dual-band. 5GHz is (generally) less crowded, so you'll get less interference from other devices.
Swapping is easy - simply connect to the wireless network starting 5GHz-EE...
If you can't see the 5GHz-EE... network, try moving closer to your router, or consider upgrading your wireless device.
Intelligent wireless
When you turn on your Bright Box 2, it looks for and uses the best WiFi channel it can find. This helps reduce problems caused by interference, giving you the best wireless connection.
You can also re-check by pressing the Intelligent Wireless button. You'll find this on the top of your Bright Box 2.
Change your channel from the admin pages
