This article explains how to set up WiFi Calling on the LG G4. Just follow the four simple steps below to get started.
1. Connect your phone to WiFi
Can't find your WiFi network? Read our instructions on how to connect to a hidden WiFi network.
2. Update to the latest software version
Tap Settings from the dropdown menu. Scroll down to About Device and tap Software Updates, then click on Update now. A pop-up box will appear to recommend you are on WiFi. Tap install to begin the process. Once installation has completed, your phone will automatically restart. You'll be informed once the process has completed.
3. Switch WiFi Calling on
From the home screen, tap the Apps icon. Scroll to and tap Settings. Under the Networks tab, scroll to and tap Call. Tap the WiFi Calling switch to enable it
4. Wait for your confirmation message
Once you’ve turned WiFi Calling on, we'll activate it for you within 24 hours.
You’ll receive a confirmation text when WiFi Calling has been activated. (If you are a corporate customer, you will not receive this message, as you’ll already be set up and ready to go).
The WiFi Calling icon will now show at the top of your screen. You’re now ready to make and receive calls and text over WiFi.
If you’re calling someone else while using WiFi Calling and they’re on either WiFi Calling or 4G Calling you'll hear the international dialling tone.
Please note: WiFi Calling is only available on the EE version of the LG G4, bought directly from us in one of our stores, online at EE.co.uk, or through our telesales team.
