HP ENVY Photo 7230 All-in-One Multifunction Colour Printer

The HP Envy Photo 7230 is an all-in-one inkjet printer that prints, scans and copies, designed for home use. It's a great fit if you want to print everyday documents alongside good quality photos at home.

You'll get print speeds of up to 15 pages a minute in black and 10 pages a minute in colour, so everyday documents come out quickly. The first page is ready in around 18 seconds.

It uses HP 303 or HP 303XL ink cartridges, with the XL versions printing up to 600 black pages and 415 colour pages. The 7230 is also HP Instant Ink eligible, so you can pay a monthly subscription based on pages printed rather than ink used.

Both are all-in-one photo printers with similar WiFi printing and photo features. The 7230 is the newer model with dual-band WiFi and a 6.75cm colour touchscreen, while the 7830 is an older alternative that's still a solid all-rounder for everyday printing and photos.

It's designed to work with HP 303 cartridges and uses dynamic security to block non-HP cartridges with modified circuitry. Reused, remanufactured and refilled HP cartridges should still work, but cheap non-HP cartridges may not.
