FAQs

The LG C6 is LG’s mid-range OLED TV for 2026, combining self-lit OLED pixels with the powerful Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen3 and Brightness Booster technology. It features over 8.3 million self-lit pixels for Perfect Black and Perfect Colour, delivering infinite contrast and vivid, accurate colours in any lighting condition. The C6 runs on LG’s webOS 2026 platform, powered by Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot, and supports Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and 4K gaming at up to 165Hz. It’s available in 55" and 65" sizes, both offering the same core features and performance.

The Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen3 is LG’s most powerful processor to date, featuring a Dual AI Engine that drives the ultimate picture and speed. Compared to the previous generation, it offers 5.6x greater AI neural processing, 50% faster operation and 70% improved graphics performance. The processor handles AI Super Upscaling to enhance lower-resolution content to near-4K quality, AI Picture Pro for real-time scene optimisation and AI Sound Pro for virtual 11.1.2 channel audio. It’s built on a 6nm chip, making it more energy efficient and cooler running than previous generations.

Brightness Booster is LG’s technology that magnifies each individual pixel for enhanced luminance, making the C6 brighter than previous OLED models. On the 55" and 65" models, the C6 uses Brightness Booster Standard, which increases brightness levels for a more vibrant picture, particularly in well-lit rooms. This means HDR content looks more impactful with brighter highlights and SDR content remains clearly visible even in daylight viewing conditions. The combination of Brightness Booster and OLED’s Perfect Black creates a wider contrast range for a more dynamic picture.

The LG C6 supports a comprehensive range of HDR formats, including Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG. Dolby Vision is the standout format, offering dynamic metadata that adjusts the picture scene by scene for the most accurate HDR experience. The C6 also features Dynamic Tone Mapping Ultra, which optimises HDR10 content frame by frame. FILMMAKER MODE with Ambient Light Technology is also included, preserving the original artistic intent of films while adjusting for the lighting conditions in your room.

Yes, the LG C6 is an excellent gaming TV. It supports 4K gaming at up to 165Hz VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) for PC gamers and 4K at 120Hz for console gamers on PS5 and Xbox Series X. The TV features NVIDIA G-Sync compatibility, AMD FreeSync Premium and a 0.1ms response time, ensuring smooth, tear-free gameplay with minimal input lag. The Game Optimizer provides a dashboard for adjusting gaming settings and the TV supports ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode), HGiG and Dolby Vision Gaming. It also holds VESA’s ClearMR 10,000 certification for smooth motion handling.

The LG C6 runs on LG’s webOS 2026 platform, which brings advanced AI experiences powered by Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot. The AI button on the remote unlocks AI Hub for a smart, personalised experience, secured by LG Shield for privacy. You get access to popular streaming apps like Netflix, Disney+, YouTube, Prime Video and more, plus LG Channels offering over 400 free channels and 10,000+ on-demand movies and shows. The TV also supports voice control, screen sharing and LG Gallery+ for turning your TV into a work of art when not in use.

The LG C6 features a 2.2 channel speaker system with 40W total output and Dolby Atmos support. The Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen3 powers AI Sound Pro, which can create virtual 11.1.2 channel surround sound from any audio source, giving you an immersive, room-filling audio experience. Additional audio features include AI Object Remastering Ultra for clearer vocals, Clear Voice Pro for enhanced dialogue and WOW Orchestra, which synchronises the TV’s speakers with compatible LG soundbars for a unified audio experience.

The LG C6 includes 4 full-spec HDMI 2.1 ports with 48Gbps bandwidth, 1 of which supports eARC for connecting audio systems. It also has 3 USB ports, an Ethernet port, digital optical audio output, satellite and aerial connections and a CI slot. Wireless connectivity includes WiFi 6E for fast, reliable internet and Bluetooth 5.3 for connecting wireless headphones, speakers and game controllers. The TV supports AirPlay 2 for streaming from Apple devices and screen sharing from mobile devices.

OLED Care is LG’s built-in panel protection system designed to maintain the longevity and picture quality of the OLED display. It includes features like pixel shifting, logo luminance adjustment and screen brightness optimisation to reduce the risk of burn-in from static images. The C6’s Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen3 also runs real-time diagnostics to detect and mitigate potential image retention. This means you can watch news channels with static logos or play games with fixed HUDs with confidence, knowing the TV is actively protecting its panel.

FILMMAKER MODE displays content exactly as the filmmaker intended, preserving original frame rates, aspect ratios and colours while disabling motion smoothing and other processing. The Ambient Light Technology addition means the TV uses a light sensor to adjust the picture based on the lighting in your room, ensuring the film looks its best whether you’re watching in a dark home cinema or a bright living room. This combination gives you an authentic, cinema-like experience at home while adapting to your viewing environment.
