Orange - Swapping your SIM to EE

If you're swapping your pay monthly or pay as you go SIM from Orange to EE follow the steps below to change:

  1. Put your new EE SIM into your device - this will activate automatically and can take anything from 1-30 minutes 
  2. When you see a signal sign and 'EE' displayed on your device this means your has SIM has successfully activated and is ready to use

Can I use my phone while waiting for it to activate?

While you're waiting for the EE sign on your phone, you can still make calls, texts and use data. You won't be able to receive calls or texts on your new number until the changeover is complete.

If you have an Apple device

You may need to refresh iMessage so it shows the correct mobile number. Here's what to do:

  1. Go to Settings > Messages
  2. Turn iMessage off, wait 10 seconds and turn iMessage on again
  3. Go to Settings > Phone and make sure My Number shows your correct mobile number. 
  4. If not, just tap on My Number and type in your correct number.

Keeping you updated

After your SIM is activated  we will send you help and information on network updates, voicemail, and new settings via text message.
