EE Account Authentication

This article explains 2-factor authentication and why it's important to secure your EE account.

2-Factor Authentication (2FA)

2FA, also known as Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), is an extra layer of security for your EE account. You’ll need to use a passcode, which we’ll send to your mobile, as well as a password.

When you’ll need it

You might need it if you:

  • log in from a new device
  • change important account details
  • recover your account.

How to set up 2FA

  1. Log into EE online
  2. Go to Profile
  3. Go to Login information
  4. In Security, select Enable 2-Factor Authentication
  5. Enter your details.

You’ll then be able to verify your details with the passcode that we send to your mobile.

Once 2FA has been set up on your account you cannot remove it.

You can change the number you use for 2FA in the same section of EE online.
