Both consoles have near-identical hardware with the exception being an improved SSD in the PS5 Slim. This means that even with the reduced size and weight of the PS5 Slim you'll still get the same experience.

The key benefit is the reduction size. The PS5 slim is 30% smaller (1.5 inches when positioned vertically), it's also 18% lighter. Outside of the new sleeker design you get a slightly larger solid state hard drive and with the digital edition you can add a disc drive in the future.
