Help with setting up your Apple Watch

Pair an Apple Watch with an iPhone
You can pair your Apple Watch with your iPhone and add an EE mobile data plan to stay connected when you're away from your phone.
Before you start
You'll need:
- an Apple Watch with cellular capability.
- an iPhone 6 or later.
- an EE Pay Monthly or SIM Only plan.
- the latest Software version of iOS and watchOS.
- Bluetooth turned on.
- your Apple ID and password.
- an EE account login.
Pair your Apple Watch
- Turn on your Apple Watch and place it near your iPhone.
- Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to pair your devices.
Add an EE Data Plan
- Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
- Select Mobile Service or Set Up Mobile Service.
- Sign in with your EE account.
- Follow the on-screen steps to complete setup.
Unpair Your Apple Watch
- Keep your iPhone and Apple Watch close together.
- Open the Apple Watch app.
- Select your watch and choose Unpair Apple Watch.
- Choose Keep Data Plan if you're pairing your watch with another iPhone, or Remove Data Plan if you're selling or giving away your watch.
- Follow the prompts to complete the process.
Need to know
When you unpair your Apple Watch, it will go back to its factory settings. Your iPhone will create a backup of your Apple Watch.
Set up an Apple Watch not bought from EE
If you bought your Apple Watch from Apple or another retailer, you can still connect it to EE.
Simply:
- Pair the watch with your iPhone.
- Open the Apple Watch app.
- Select Set Up Mobile Service.
- Sign in with your EE account and follow the setup steps.
Need to know
If you bought your Apple Watch from a third party as a gift, you’ll need to tell the recipient that they'll need an EE account, and their EE log in to activate the Apple Watch with their iPhone. Or to call 150 if they don’t have an EE account.
Second-hand Apple Watch
Before pairing a second-hand Apple Watch, make sure the previous owner has removed the device from their Apple account.
If the watch is still Activation Locked, it can't be paired with another iPhone until the previous owner removes the lock.

Need to know
Apple Watch isn't supported by our roaming passes.
You can still use Apple Watch on WiFi, or when it’s connected to your iPhone by Bluetooth. Some features, like fitness tracking and Apple Pay, work without a connection.
