Under the Online Safety Act, certain types of online services that provide pornographic or other harmful online content must take steps to verify a person’s age to prevent under-18s from accessing this content.
BT/EE/Plusnet doesn't provide online services meeting this definition, so we aren't required under the Act to provide age verification.
We do provide customers with free parental controls to allow our customers to restrict access to harmful online content for their children:

More information on the new age verification checks under the Act can be obtained from the Ofcom website. Ofcom is the online safety regulator who has responsibility for ensuring compliance with the Online Safety Act.
