The Xbox Series S is a more compact version of the Xbox Series X, with around a 60% reduction in size. It’s also a digital-only console and can’t play physical Xbox games. The Xbox Series S is optimised to run at 1440p resolution, while the Xbox Series X offers True 4K resolution.

The Xbox Series S doesn’t have a disc drive included. It’s a digital games-only console by default.

The Xbox Series S storage can be expanded with an additional Seagate Storage Expansion Card (sold separately). This can increase the Xbox Series S storage capacity from its built-in 512GB or 1TB capacity, up to 2TB in size.
