EE Tablet Care provides insurance and a warranty in case your beloved tablet is ever lost, stolen or damaged, or becomes faulty.

Just call EE customer services to make your EE Tablet Care claim, and if your claim is accepted, we'll aim to get a replacement sent to your UK address within 24 hours.* The replacement will be from refurbished stock that has been tested and is fully functional.

Your tablet is covered against faults as part of the warranty cover as long as it's less than 36 months old. The battery is only covered for six months.

If you make a successful claim, you'll have to pay an excess fee at the point of claim – the excess fee is a one off charge.  Claims will be managed by an external administration company. Insurance is underwritten by Allianz Insurance plc.

Who can get Tablet Care and what does it cost?

To qualify for Tablet Care, you must have bought your tablet direct from us, and it can only be added by the named account holder.

The SIM card registered under Tablet Care must also have been bought from us and be in the registered tablet at all times. If your registered SIM was not in the device, these claims will be considered if you have removed your SIM temporarily for a legitimate reason.

Tablet Care costs £15 per month, on a monthly rolling contract that is charged to your airtime bill. Tablet Care is  subject to a minimum period of three months. If you cancel your policy during this term you will need to pay any outstanding payments due for the remainder of this period. However, you have the right to cancel Tablet Care within 14 calendar days of receipt of your confirmation of insurance cover and terms and conditions. If you have not made a claim we will refund any payments you have made on a pro-rata basis.

Your monthly premium include Insurance Premium Tax, and excludes VAT.There's an excess fee of £50 for each successful claim you make under Tablet Care.

24-hour replacement

Get 24 hour replacement if your claim is accepted before 7.30pm or same day replacement (delivered between 6pm and 10pm, specific slots not available) if your claim is accepted before 11am. Geographical restrictions apply on delivery of all replacements. Same day promise excludes customers living in Northern Ireland, Isle of Lewis, Inverness, Isle of Arran, Orkney Isles, Hebrides, Isles of Scilly, Shetland Isles, Aberdeenshire, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Isle of Wight and some parts of Ayrshire, Paisley & Perthshire or while you are outside the UK. Excludes bank holidays and exceptional circumstances. The replacement will be from refurbished stock that has been tested and is fully functional.

Tablet Care warranty

You'll benefit from worldwide warranty cover for a maximum of 36 months for the repair or replacement of your mobile if it suffers from electrical or mechanical breakdown, whether being used by you or the authorised user and will be subject to an excess. The battery is only covered for 6 months.

If you've had a replacement tablet through Tablet Care, and it develops a fault within 90 days, you can claim a further replacement without paying the excess fee.
The warranty period will be unaffected if we replace your tablet. The 36 months warranty period will commence from the date your Tablet Care started.

If your tablet develops a fault within 14 days of purchase, you won't be charged an excess. After the 14 day period, you can have your tablet replaced under Tablet Care subject to an excess.

Cancelling EE Tablet Care

You can cancel Tablet Care up to 14 days after you've received your Confirmation of Cover and terms and conditions.

If you haven't made a claim, we'll refund any pro-rata payments you've made.

If you have made a claim during this period, we'll refund any payments you've made and pro-rata payments.

After the initial 14 days you can cancel at any time - but Tablet Care has a minimum three month term. If you do want to cancel after 14 days and before three months you'll have to pay the minimum term.

The EE Tablet Care product will be active for a period of five years and after this period you will need to purchase the product again. When you near the end of the 60 month period we will contact you to see if you would like to benefit from all the features the product has to offer.
