Provider updates in our mobile insurance terms

From 30 April 2020 the Underwriting and Claims Administration of EE’s mobile insurance products will be carried out by Chubb European Group SE.

None of the changes affect the cover, price, excess and how to claim. Details of the changes that apply are set out in the below documents effective from the 30 April 2020, and answers to some common questions are below these links.

What's happening?

From 30 April 2020, we have decided to change our current underwriter, Allianz Insurance plc, and our claims and policy administrator, EE Care Services. As a result, your existing policy will end, and a new policy will automatically commence with our new insurance partner Chubb European Group SE.

Existing claims or new claims with an incident date before 30 April will be dealt with by EE Care Services on behalf of Allianz Insurance PLC until 20 May 2020. After this time your claim will be handled by Chubb.

How will this impact me?

It won’t. Your level of cover, and the amount you pay will not change. You’ll continue to be offered the same great service. You can still make a claim, or contact us, by calling 150 (158 if you’re a Large Business Customer) from your mobile.

Your personal data

What personal data will be shared?

To allow the uninterrupted administration of your insurance, Chubb will be provided with details of your insurance policy, address and contact details.

How do I find out more about the security and safety of my data?

Your data will be transferred and processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and Chubb’s privacy policy. Read it at https://www.chubb.com/uk-en/footer/privacy-policy.aspx

I’m happy for the transfer of my data to go ahead, what do I need to do?

Nothing, everything will be taken care of. You’ll experience no difference in your level of cover or service.

I don't want my personal data shared with Chubb, what are my options?

The sharing of your data is required for us to be able to offer you insurance cover. If you don't want your data shared, you will have to cancel your insurance. Call us by 27 April 2020 to process your cancellation. you can call after this date, but your data will have already been transferred.

How do I cancel my insurance?

You can cancel your insurance by calling 150 (158 if you are a Large Business Customer) from your mobile.

I’m not happy about this change, how can I complain?

You can make a complaint by calling our Customers Services team on 150 (158 if you’re a Large Business Customer) from your mobile.
