In the second half of 2025, RootMetrics conducted approximately 619,000 coverage tests around the UK, including in 16 major cities and driving 23,000 miles on UK roads.

EE is double the speed of our competitors across the UK
RootMetrics found that EE has the fastest average download speeds across the whole of the UK in the second half of 2025. We’re more than double the next-fastest result (Three’s 53.8 Mbps).

Umlaut’s best network
Umlaut Connect (part of Accenture) found EE to be the UK’s best‑performing mobile network, achieving the highest score ever recorded. EE was confirmed as the top UK operator for the 11th consecutive year, and the only UK network to be rated as very good.
