How long it takes to transfer a number to EE

This page explains how long the transfer process for your mobile number takes, so you know exactly when you can start using your number on your new EE phone.

When your number is transferred

Once you’ve submitted an online form asking us to transfer your number, we’ll do the rest.

Remember: we don’t transfer numbers at the weekend or on bank holidays. It’s usually a really quick process:

submit the form before 5.30pm Monday to Friday, your number will be transferred the next working day
if you submit the form after 5.30pm Monday to Friday or any time at the weekend, your number will be transferred within two working days

Need to know

Here are a few things to check after your number’s been transferred:

tell your insurer your number’s changed
update your number by logging in to EE
call 222 to set up your voicemail
update the settings in iMessage to show your new number on an iPhone
