Watch on multiple devices
You can sign in on as many supported devices as you like. But you can only watch on 2 devices at the same time.
This limit applies to your account, not your broadband connection. This means that, if you have 2 EE TV boxes that are both streaming TNT Sports, no other devices can stream it.
Need to know
If you're using TNT Sports on a mobile device, it will only work on WiFi or the EE network.
Watch on a big screen
You can download the HBO Max app on:
- Apple TV 4K
- Samsung Smart TVs from 2015 onwards
- Xbox One, Xbox One X and Xbox One S
- PlayStation 4
- NOW TV devices, including 4K Box and Smart Box
- Amazon Fire TV devices
- Android TV devices
- Roku players
- Chromecast with Google TV
Or you can:
- cast from your device or tablet using Apple TV or Chromecast
- log in to TNT Sports and connect your laptop to your TV using an HDMI cable
Streaming limit message
If you see a message saying you’ve reached your limit, it usually means 2 streams are already active on your account.
Sometimes, a device you used earlier may still count as active, even if you’re no longer watching anything.
This can happen when:
- you switch between devices, like from a TV box to a phone or another TV
- the app wasn’t fully closed before moving to another device
- a TV box is in standby but the app is still running in the background
- you’ve recently updated the app or switched from discovery+ to HBO Max
It can take a few minutes for a stream to stop counting after you leave. During this time, it may still use one of your available slots.
Fix a streaming limit issue
This is the most effective way to reset your active sessions.
- Log in to HBO Max on a phone or browser
- Go to Profile.
- Select Account.
- Select Devices.
- Select Sign out of all devices.
- Wait 5 to 10 minutes before signing in on a device.
This clears any inactive or stuck sessions on your account.
You can also clear a stream on an EE TV box by turning the box off for 60 seconds and turning it back on again.
