How do you give yourself a data boost?
Get extra data on your phone every month when you take an eligible EE pay monthly phone plan or a 12-month SIM only plan, and a broadband plan.
What happens if I use up all my data?
We’re the only network that makes sure you stay connected, even when your data runs out. You’ll automatically switch over to a slower speed when you’ve used your plan allowance. So you can still use your device for things like banking, browsing, emails and WhatsApp, Spotify and Google Maps. But downloading large files and streaming video in HD may not work as well.
How do you set up and use WiFi calling?
Wherever there’s WiFi, you can call and text with EE. Our coverage-expanding technology keeps you talking and texting, even on the London Underground. It works automatically once it’s turned on, there’s no change to your bill, no need for an app and you only need to connect once. Easy!
How do I control my spending?
With Spend Cap, you can choose how much you want to restrict your data use outside of your monthly data allowance, restricting services like roaming and MMS. You stay in control of your bill, and if you're close to reaching your cap, we send you a text to let you know.
What is the free EE Lifetime Warranty?
We cover against any manufacturer faults for the lifetime of your new contract, until you upgrade or leave. This means if something goes wrong, our experts will repair or replace your phone for free. This lasts longer than the standard lifetime warranty.
What is the free annual device MOT?
Once a year we’ll clean your handset, run expert diagnostics on its hardware and software and leave you feeling like you’ve got a brand new phone! Just book a slot in an EE store.

What is expert set up with superfast delivery?
You can have your phone delivered and set up by an expert within a two-hour time slot, often on the same day, depending on where you are in the UK. If your home address isn’t within one of our delivery areas, you could try a work address, friend’s house or even the local pub. Your friendly expert will set everything up just the way you want it, and be on hand to help with anything else, such as transferring your data and explaining your phone’s features.

Recycling and safely disposing of old gadgets is vital to protecting our planet. If you trade in your old phone to be refurbished or recycled you could save £170 on average off your new phone. Reserve Data: If you have a Smart Plan with a capped data allowance (i.e. not an unlimited data plan) once you have used up your monthly data allowance you will be able to use Reserve Data. You will still be able to access the internet to do the essentials, but we will keep you connected at a capped speed of 2Mbps. You will regain access to our fastest speeds upon (1) renewal of your monthly plan allowance, (2) by buying one of our data add-ons, or (3) If you are gifted data by someone else in your family account. Once the data add-on or gifted data runs out, you will be able to use Reserve Data again
Upgrade Anytime: Smart Plans customers who have purchased directly from EE can upgrade anytime so long as you have had your plan for at least 15 days and are up to date with all your payments. You’ll have to pass a credit check and your new plan must be of the same or higher value. You may have to pay an early upgrade fee and we’ll tell you this before you upgrade. Your old device must be returned in full working order, be able to power up, with any security features such as Find My iPhone disabled, otherwise damaged/missing device charge may apply, see ee.co.uk/upgrade anytime for charges. Your device cannot be returned so ensure all contacts and data have been backed up before sending it to us.
Gifting: Account holder only can gift to other pay monthly plans on the same account in increments of 500MB. Fair use policy applies when gifting large amounts of data 3 months in a row. No gifting to/from Apple Watches, 4GEE Home or 30-day 4GEE Wi-Fi plans. Data not used in a month does not roll over, allowances are set back to zero at the start of each month. Data can only be used in accordance with the plan terms applicable to the receiving line.
Wi-Fi Calling: Available to EE customers with a compatible phone only use our Device Guides to see if your phone supports WiFi Calling and how to enable it and access to an active open internet Wi-Fi service. EE accepts no responsibility for the quality, availability or coverage of public Wi-Fi networks and those provided by other ISPs, nor the impact they may have on the quality of calls made using it. UK use only, in some circumstances it may be possible to use whilst abroad. If you make calls using WiFi Calling to local landlines and mobile numbers whilst abroad, you will be charged our standard international rates, which will be treated as a call from the UK to an international number. To avoid these charges whilst abroad turn Wi-Fi calling off in your phone settings. All calls or texts are charged as per your EE price plan, see ee.co.uk/priceguides. Data Boost: 5GB available to new and existing Pay Monthly phone or 12-month SIM Only customers who sign up to 4GEE Home or fixed broadband plan. Data allowance boosted by 5GB. Boost added to mobile only and cannot be added to 4GEE Home device. Data allowance boosted by 20GB if you have both a Pay Monthly phone plan and Fibre Max Broadband. You will lose the 20GB boost if you move to a Pay Monthly SIM Only plan or non-Fibre Max broadband plan at any point, or cancel either plan. Not available with 30 Day SIM Only plans, non-lead Sharer plans or 4GEE Home devices. You’ll lose the 5GB data boost if you cancel your 4GEE Home or fixed broadband.
