You will see a 1.1 per cent increase to your monthly price plan on any bills you receive from 26 March 2015 if, between 26 March 2014 and 10 February 2015, you:

  1.  

    joined or upgraded to a pay monthly plan

  2.  

    joined or upgraded to a SIM Only plan

  3.  

    joined or upgraded to a business contract

Please note: new EE business plans released on 28 January are exempt from this increase.

This increase is in line with the Retail Price Index, published by the Office for National Statistics on 17 February 2015, and as specified in clause 7.1.4 of your terms and conditions or in your business customer terms and conditions.

If you are an Orange pay monthly mobile broadband customer you are exempt from the RPI increase.

Your network terms set out that we will increase your price plan charge every year, in March, by the rate of RPI. For more information, please see clause 6.1.5 of your terms and conditions or your business customer terms and conditions.

The rate of RPI, published on 17 February 2015, is 1.1 per cent. As a result, an increase of 1.1 per cent will be reflected in your plan from 26 March 2015.

Retail Price Index (RPI) is a measure of the increase in prices for consumers on average across the country over the last 12 months.

We have used the Retail Price Index (RPI) published on 17 February 2015, which is 1.1 per cent.

The increase is calculated by adding 1.1 per cent to the price of your monthly plan.

What about my discount?

If you have a discount, this will not change. The price increase is applied to your existing price plan cost and then any discount is applied afterwards. You can log in to My EE to see more information about your price plan.

The increase will appear on your bill in one of two ways:

    as an increase in your monthly price plan

  2. 2

    as an additional cost, displayed as Price Rise 2015

Can I cancel my contract?

If you wish to cancel your contract, you’ll need to pay any cancellation charges that may apply.

As stated in your terms and conditions, you may cancel your contract without penalty if we increase your monthly plan charge by more than the current rate of RPI. This increase is in line with RPI and therefore cancellation charges may apply.

All customers who are impacted by the price increase will be contacted. You will receive a minimum of 30 days written notice (letter or text message) before the increase takes place.

Contracts entered since 26 March 2014 are subject to terms and conditions stating that their monthly price plan will be increased once a year, in March, by the most recently published RPI.

Customers who joined or upgraded on or after the 11 February 2015 will not be impacted this year, but will get their first increase in March 2016.

If you have upgraded since 11 February 2015 then this price increase does not apply this year. You will not receive a price plan increase until March 2016.
