When you might need to set your APN
If you get a new mobile or device from another provider, when you first put in your SIM card, you may get a message that the APN is not set yet. If this is the case, follow the steps below and your mobile will be online and good to go.
All devices supplied by EE already have the correct APN settings.

Apple iPhone: You’re unable to change iPhone APN settings. These are managed by our network team via automatic updates.
Get and set the right APN settings
You can download the correct settings and steps to follow for your device from this EE setup page.
- Select your phone's manufacturer
- Select your phone
- Enter your phone number, select Next
- You should shortly receive service settings by text including a PIN.
Mobile (or Cellular) data must be enabled before use:
When the settings have been received, pull down the top menu bar and open the Configuration message list.
Open the Configuration message and select Install.
If prompted, enter the PIN displayed and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation:
- Settings > Connections > Data usage
- For Dual-SIM devices:, ensure that:
- Settings > Connections > SIM card manager: set the Preferred SIM for Mobile (or mobile) data to the required SIM
The settings are saved and the service is ready for use.Read and save all the text messages you receive. You should then be able to use your phone to access the Internet via its own browser, or in conjunction with a compatible PDA or Laptop.
