YouTube on EE TV

This article is about the YouTube app on EE TV.

How to find the YouTube app

It's on the main app screen on the TV Box Pro, TV Box Mini and Apple TV box

You can't get the YouTube app on our older TV boxes. If you’d like to get a new box call us on 0330 123 1105.

Using an existing account to watch YouTube

You can sign in with an existing Google account if you have one or you can watch without an account. Having an account will help you find content that you like, connect with the community and get more from YouTube.

Create an account

You'll need a Google account to save your YouTube viewing history. For help setting up an account visit Google Account Help.

Do I have to pay to use YouTube on EE TV?

We won’t charge you for using YouTube. Any purchases you make will be billed through your account directly with Google.

Removing ads

You can subscribe to YouTube Premium if you want to watch videos without ads. This is done through YouTube, not EE.

Renting and buying content

Payments for any content you buy or rent from YouTube will also be made with them directly. For more information visit YouTube help to buy movies and TV shows.

YouTube Kids and Parental Controls

YouTube Kids is available in the app. You can set up your child’s profile in your Google account or access content as a guest.

Parental Controls

If Parental Controls are enabled on your EE TV box, you’ll be asked to enter your PIN before the app opens. You can also switch on Restricted Mode from the Settings menu, which helps to hide potentially mature videos.

Your broadband hub settings may also affect your access to YouTube. Find out more about broadband Parental Controls.

Help and support with YouTube on EE TV

If you have issues with the app or content, there's lots of help and support available at  YouTube Help.

If you think you may have an issue with your EE TV service, visit EE TV Help.
