Wireless setup

  1. Plug your WiFi Extender into a power socket near your Smart Hub and turn it on. The light will flash red.
  2. Press the WPS button on your hub, then press the WPS button on the WiFi Extender within 2 minutes. It can take up to 5 minutes to connect.
  3. When the light turns solid aqua, it's working.
  4. Unplug your WiFi Extender and move it about halfway between your hub and the room where the WiFi is weak.

Wired setup

You'll find one ethernet cable in your router box and another in your WiFi Extender box.

  1. Plug one end of an ethernet cable into a yellow port on the back of the hub, and the other to your WiFi Extender.
  2. The light will flash and then become solid aqua.
  3. Unplug the cable. If the light flashes orange briefly before returning to aqua, you'e good to go.
  4. Unplug your WiFi Extender and move it about halfway between your hub and the room where the WiFi is weak.

Where to put your WiFi Extender device

Places to avoid

  • Other electronic devices with signals (like microwaves, TVs and baby monitors).
  • Shiny or metallic surfaces. They can scatter the signal.
  • Near windows or fishtanks. They can absorb and waste signal.
  • In a cupboard. Walls and doors absorb and weaken the signal.

Don't have too many!

Don’t overdo it. Using too many WiFi Extenders can cause overlapping signals and slow everything down.

Know your light indicators

A steady aqua light means success. Any other colour? That’s your cue to check our troubleshooting page or reach out to us.

Find your admin password

You’ll find the admin password on the wireless card on the back of your Hub. It’s needed to manage settings and set up your WiFi Extender in the EE app.
