What is a SIM PIN?

If your device should get stolen, the PIN protects your SIM from unauthorised use. If your SIM PIN is turned on, it will need to be keyed in when you turn on your device.

How do I change my SIM PIN?

The default SIM PIN is 1111. To change this:

  • go to our Device Guides and select your device
  • select Basic Functions
  • under Security Codes select Turning use of PIN on or off
  • then follow the instructions on the device guide

What if I enter the wrong SIM PIN?

If you enter an incorrect SIM PIN three times in row, your SIM will be blocked. To unblock you SIM, you’ll need to key in your PUK code.

Please note that if you key in the wrong PUK code ten times in a row, your SIM will be blocked permanently and you will need to order a new SIM.
