EE account authentication

This article explains two-factor authentication, why it's important to secure your EE account, and how to set it up.

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

2FA, also known as Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), is an extra layer of security for your EE account. You’ll need to use a passcode, which we’ll send to your mobile, as well as a password.

When you might need to use it:

  • when you log in from a new device
  • change important account details
  • recover your account

Need to know

Once 2FA has been set up on your account you won’t be able to remove it.
