Netflix on EE TV

This article will help you to access and enjoy Netflix on EE TV, ensuring seamless streaming of your favourite shows and movies.

How do I get Netflix on EE?

EE TV plans that include Netflix

If you sign up for one of these plans, you'll get Netflix at no extra cost:

You can also upgrade your plan to Netflix Premium. This lets you watch in Ultra HD, on up to 4 devices in the same household. Ultra HD needs a compatible device and is subject to your internet connection. You'll see the price in the EE app when you upgrade.

 

Netflix as an Extra

If your EE TV plan does not include Netflix, you can still add it as an Extra. You can pick your plan when you add it.

Activating Netflix on EE TV

If your EE TV package includes Netflix, you'll need to activate it online or in the EE app.

Need to know

You'll be asked for an email address when activating. If you already pay Netflix directly, make sure you use the same email address. You'll get to keep the same login, profiles and watch histories. We'll handle your billing for you.

 

If you get Netflix through a Third Party, you'll need to contact them directly to cancel it.

 

If you take Netflix as an Extra, you'll need to activate it through your EE TV box.

Changing your Netflix plan

If you get Netflix included with your EE TV plan, you can change your Netflix plan in the EE app.

If you get Netfix as an Extra, just head to netflix.com for any changes.

Changing your EE TV plan

If you already take Netflix as an Extra, and you move to an EE TV plan with inclusive Netflix, we'll handle everything.

 

If you move from an EE TV plan that includes Netflix to one that doesn't, and you add Netflix as an Extra, you'll need to cancel and re-activate Netflix by following these steps:

  1. Login at netflix.com.
  2. Select Cancel your membership, then Finish cancellation.
  3. Sign out of your Netflix account on your EE TV box.
  4. After you sign out, you'll be able to re-activate and sign back in.

Changing your Netflix email address

If you'd like to log in to Netflix with a different email address, just head to netflix.com and you can change it there.

Cancelling the Netflix Extra

If you take Netflix as an EE TV Extra, you'll need to go to netflix.com to cancel it.

Leaving EE

If you were paying Netflix before taking EE TV, they'll get in touch about continuing your subscription. If not, your Netflix will stop when EE TV does.

 

TV boxes that support Netflix

EE TV boxes

You can watch Netflix on the EE TV Box Pro and EE TV Box Mini. 

Press the Home button and then go to the Players & Apps section to find the Netflix app.

 

Apple TV boxes

If your EE TV plan includes Netflix and an Apple TV 4K box, we'll automatically download the Netflix app for you. If it's not there, you can also get it from the App Store.

 

Problems signing up to Netflix through the app on your TV box

If you see an error message that sends you to this page, please call us on 0330 1234 150 and we'll send you a link to sign up.

 

TV boxes that aren't compatible

Some older boxes and apps don't support the Standard With Ads plan. So you might see the error 'Your plan does not support streaming on this device'.

You'll need to either upgrade your Netflix plan or switch to a compatible TV box. EE TV Box Pro, EE TV Box Mini and Apple TV 4K box are fully compatible with all Netflix plans.

Netflix and your bills

Charges for your Netflix service will be added to your EE bills, so you only have one payment each month to cover both EE and Netflix. 

However depending on when you add Netflix to your EE account, your billing cycles might not line up. This is because Netflix is billed for a full month in advance. So if you add Netflix partway through the month, you'll have different dates for your EE TV service and for your Netflix service.

But don't worry, your bills will be correct and you'll have access to Netflix for the full billing period. 

Netflix households

You can use any device within your household to log in to your Netflix account, including sharing your login details with anyone else who lives there. 

Extra Members cannot be added to your Netflix account paid through EE. 

Existing profiles cannot be transferred to a Netflix account paid through EE.
