A pay as you go SIM is a type of mobile phone SIM that allows you to pay for calls, texts, and data without a contract. Unlike pay monthly mobile plans that need a fixed monthly fee or long-term contract, pay as you go SIMs offer flexibility. You can choose either a 30-Day Saver plan or 30-day plan that has minutes, texts, and data for 30 days at a time, or the Talk and Text option where you top up your balance in advance, and the credit is used for your phone usage. Calls cost 40p per minute and texts cost 20p each. Once the balance and allowance run out, you’ll need to top up or buy additional allowance to continue using the service.
We offer three types of plans:
30-day Saver plan: This plan includes minutes, texts, and data for the next 30 days. The plans give you a 10% discount. To continue receiving the 10% discount you need to sign up for an EE account and set up your card for future plan purchases, this also saves you the hassle of maintaining a balance and having to remember to top up.
30-day plans: This plan includes minutes, texts, and data for 30 days. Any balance left over that you’ve not used will rollover when you buy a new plan.
Talk and Text plan: You can top up your balance in advance, and the credit is used for minutes and texts. Calls cost 40p per minute and texts cost 20p each. If you want to use data, you can add this to your plan as a ‘add on’.
Currently, we do not offer 5G on pay as you go.
If you’re moving from another network, users can follow a simple process to transfer your number:
Step 1: Get your PAC number from your existing provider. Text 'PAC' to 65075 for free, and you'll receive a message with your PAC code within two hours. Note that cancellation charges may apply if you were on a contract.
Step 2: Send us your PAC code by either filling out an online form or texting PORT to 150 from your EE phone.
Step 3: You'll then go through a 2-step porting service.
Number transfers are not processed on Bank Holidays. More information is available on keeping your number page.
Yes. To use your number, you will need to top up to cover the balance of your chosen plan. You can top up your plan any time through your EE account, or learn more about topping up here.
You’ll also need to top up extra should you want to use anything outside of your core allowance, such as calling abroad or 0845 numbers.
30-day plan and 30-day Saver plan
If you have any unused data by the time your 30-day plan ends, it will automatically roll over to the next plan you buy. You can cancel at any time.
