You can easily manage your 4GEE WiFi device and add or remove add-ons online through My EE.

We’ll text you if you use up your allowance, but you can easily get back to making calls, sending texts or going online by buying a data or roaming add-on.

How to buy data add-ons on your 4GEE device

Make sure you're connected to the 4G network then:

  1.  

    open your browser and go to add-on.ee.co.uk

  2.  

    under purchase, select the data add-on you want to buy, activate it and start browsing

The cost of the add-on will be added to your pay monthly bill. This will appear on your next bill as a one-off charge. You can view your bill, including any additional purchases, in My EE .

Things to know about using data overseas:
  1.  

    if you’re outside the UK but inside the EU (including Jersey, Guernsey, the Isle of Man and Switzerland) you can use your 4GEE WiFi device or tablet allowances to get online for no extra cost

  2.  

    make sure data roaming is enabled on your device (find help on how to do this)

  3.  

    if you're outside the EU, the internet won’t work on your device unless you have an active roaming add-on

How to buy a roaming add-on (before you travel)
  1.  

    log in to My EE  and go to Menu > Plan & add-ons 

  2.  

    go to Add-on > Buy add-ons

  3.  

    Select the add-on you want, then buy

If you’re on 4G you can also use our website to buy roaming add-ons.

How to buy a roaming add-on (while you’re away)
  1.  

    open your browser and you’ll be connected to a page showing available add-ons

  2.  

    select the data add-on you'd like to buy. The cost of the add-on will be added to your pay monthly bill. This will appear on your next bill as a one-off charge

    the cost of the add-on will be taken from your top up balance, if you don't have enough credit, top up now  

Managing your usage

It's impossible to go over your data limit. If your data runs out, you can buy an add-on. You can check your data usage at any time in the My EE app or by logging in to My EE.

Using your 4GEE WiFi device abroad

First, check that roaming is enabled before you go. For 4GEE devices you can do this in your Connection Manager.

Connect using Car WiFi

Make sure you're connected to the 4G network then:

  1.  

    go to Connection Manager or type http://192.168.1.1  into your browser 

  2.  

    log in and go to Settings > Dial up  > Mobile connection

Then you will have two options:
  1.  

    manual – your device will only connect to the internet when you click ‘connect’ 

  2.  

    automatic – your device automatically connects to the internet when it’s switched on. For ease when roaming select automatic

You can change your roaming settings in your tablet settings.
