If you're setting up your Smart TV for the first time or you just need help entering wireless settings, jump to step 2.

If not, we'll show you how to open wireless settings on your Smart TV in step 1.

Step 1: opening your wireless settings

Step 1: opening your wireless settings

If you've recently joined EE broadband, have received a new router or decided to change your wireless network name, you'll need to set up a new wireless connection on your Smart TV.

To do this:

  1. 1

Open your TV's menu - the button may be labelled Menu, Home or similar

  2. 2

    Open the Settings menu

  3. 3

Choose Network, Network Settings or Network Connection

  4. 4

Choose to set up a wireless connection

Now go to step 2 for help entering your wireless settings.

Step 2: entering your wireless settings

Step 2: entering your wireless settings

  1. 1

If you're given the option, do not choose to set up the connection using WPS

  2. 2

A list of wireless networks will be displayed

  3. 3

Choose your router's wireless network name using the down arrow on your remote (e.g. EE-1a2b3c)

  4. 4

You'll be asked to enter your router's security key or wireless password

  5. 5

Enter this using the virtual onscreen keyboard - the up, down, left and right arrows on your remote will let you highlight the letter, number or character, then use the enter button to select

  6. 6

Once you've entered the security key select Enter, Done, OK, Complete or similar

  7. 7

Your TV will connect to your router, check the internet connection and confirm that you're connected

Can't find the character you're looking for?

Select symbol !, @, # or similar from the on-screen keyboard if you need to enter a character that isn't displayed. Our Bright Box wireless router security passwords use the minus character (-), for example

If you get an error while setting up your connection, try entering the security key again or see our wireless troubleshooting guide.
