How do I Stay Connected?
If you have an Essentials or All Rounder plan bought after 17 August 2022, we’ll keep you connected when your data runs out.
We’ll text you when you’ve used 80% of your data, and again when you’ve switched to Stay Connected Data.
When your data runs out, your speed drops to 0.5 Mbps—enough for WhatsApp, Maps, and messaging friends.
To return to full speed, you can buy a daily or monthly data add-on or wait until your bill cycle refreshes.
Stay Connected Data also applies to customers who bought a pay monthly phone or SIM after 7 July 2021.
Need to know
Not got Stay Connected included in your plan? No problem—you can add it for just £4 a month in the EE app.
Using Stay Connected Data
You’ll be able to use your device for things like browsing the web, checking and sending emails and using apps like WhatsApp, Spotify and Google Maps. Downloading large content files and streaming videos may not work as well.
Getting back up to full speed
Your full-speed data returns at the start of your next month. You can get back up to full speed immediately if you:
- receive a data gift from someone else on your account
- buy a data add-on
The difference between Stay Connected Data and the NHS data offer
The NHS data offer works like Stay Connected, but gives you unlimited data at 2Mbps instead of 0.5Mbps.
