If you're new to EE Broadband or need a new router as part of your order, your wireless router will arrive on or just before your activation day.

In most cases, we'll post your router through your letter box – but it's worth looking out for any missed delivery slips.

When you order EE broadband, we’ll let you know via text or email the morning it’s due to go live and again when it’s live. This could be any time up to midnight. Once your broadband is live you can set up your router.

Follow the instructions included with your router to set up your Home Broadband. Our online set-up guide can give you more info on your router settings.

If you have an EE Smart Hub or Bright Box 1(R) Wireless Router, you can use the EE Virtual Support app to guide you through the set-up process. You can download the app on the following Apple or Android devices:

  1. Apple iPhone 4s or above with iOS 8+

  2. Samsung Galaxy S6 or above with Android 5.1+

We'll fine-tune your line to make sure you’re getting the best possible connection once it’s up and running, so you may notice your connection drop or that your speed fluctuates.

Please leave your router turned on and connected to your phone line to make sure your line can continue to stabilise. If you have connection issues after ten days, check out our article on fixing your home broadband connection. 

If you've signed up for EE TV, we'll send your EE TV box five days after your broadband is live. We'll text and email you so you can track your order.
