If your Digital Home Phone isn’t working, most issues can be fixed in just a few simple steps. This guide helps you quickly identify your setup and follow the right fix, whether you’re using your own phone, an EE Digital Home Phone handset, or a mix of both.

Most people fix their Digital Home Phone quickly by restarting their Smart Hub or reconnecting their devices.

Follow these steps if you’re using your own phone. Most issues are fixed in just a few minutes.

Check your phone is connected correctly

Make sure your phone is plugged into the right place, either:

  • the green phone port on the back of your hub
  • a Digital Home Phone Adapter

Restart your hub

This fixes most issues and only takes 2 minutes to complete.

  1. Turn your hub off.
  2. Wait 2 minutes.
  3. Turn it back on.

This refreshes your connection and updates your Digital Home Phone service.

Reconnect your Digital Home Phone Adapter

  1. Open a browser on a device connected to your hub.
  2. Enter 192.168.1.254 into the address bar.
  3. Select Phone.
  4. De-register any connected devices.
  5. Follow the steps to re-register your adapter.

Restart your hub again

Turn your hub off for 2 full minutes, then back on. This helps your phone reconnect with the latest settings and reconnects your adapter.
