Your EE account security

Secure your EE account with two-factor authentication, which enhances protection against unauthorised access and helps to ensure your information remains safe.

About Two-Factor Authentication

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is a security method that adds an extra layer of protection to your account. Instead of just entering a password, you also need a second piece of information to log in — like a code sent to your mobile.

Think of it like:

  1. something you know – your password
  2. something you have – your phone or a security key

So, even if someone steals your password, they can’t get in to your account without the second bit of information.

When you might need to use it:

  • when you log in from a new device
  • to change important account details
  • to recover your account

Need to know

Once 2FA has been set up on your account you won’t be able to remove it.
