How can I do an early phone swap?
Check your eligibility in the EE app
You must be in the last 12 months of a Flex Pay plan. Your phone must also be in good working order.

Browse available phones on EE and pick the one that suits you.
Get in touch with our Guides
Head to your local EE store or reach out to one of our contact centre guides on 150 so they can walk you through your Early Phone Swap.
Return your old phone to us
Send your old device back to us to complete your swap and we’ll take care of the rest.

Early Phone Swap is EE's way of letting you upgrade your phone early, without waiting for your contract to end. Once you've had your device for 12 months, you can trade it in and get a new one, with its value put towards your next handset.
You're eligible to upgrade your phone 12 months before your Flex Pay device agreement ends. For Flex Pay 24 months you can upgrade early at month 12 and with Flex Pay 36 months you are eligible at month 24.
Yes. When you upgrade your phone early with EE, you're not restricted to a limited selection, you can choose any phone in our range, including the latest iPhone and Samsung models.
There's no additional upgrade fee for Early phone Swap. You'll move onto a new Flex Pay plan for your new device and select a 24 month airtime plan.
Your handset will be assessed as part of the early upgrade process. It doesn't need to be in perfect condition but needs to be working and in good general condition.
If your phone's trade-in value comes to more than what's left to pay on it, you'll receive the difference in your bank account when you upgrade early.
Yes, you can upgrade your phone early whether you're currently on an iPhone or moving to one. Early Phone Swap covers the full iPhone range.
If you are a 24 month Flex Pay customer, then yes you can upgrade early from month 12.
If you are a 36 month Flex Pay customer, then you can upgrade 12 months later from month 24.
