Breathing Space, if you're having problems paying your bill

This article explains the EE Debt Respite Scheme, offering practical steps to help you manage debt and maintain financial stability.

About Breathing Space

Breathing Space is a Debt Respite Scheme which was created to help relieve some of the pressures and stress caused by being in debt.

Your debt advisor has let us know you’re on Breathing Space, so we’ve paused any outstanding bills to give you time to pay.

We won’t apply any interest or penalty fees during this time. If you do receive any reminders about your outstanding balance, don’t worry as these don’t apply to you right now.

What you need to do

While you’re on Breathing Space, there’s a few things you need to do to keep things running smoothly:

  • Keep up your regular payments
  • Continue seeking debt advice, or continue with your debt solution
  • Keep your debt advisor updated with any changes to your circumstances

If you don’t do any of the above, your debt advisor could cancel your Breathing Space.
