What happens to my EE Broadband bill if I change my billing date?

This article explains how changing your EE Broadband billing date affects your bill, helping you understand adjustments and manage your payments effectively.

Changing your billing date

If you pay your EE Broadband bill by Direct Debit, you can change your payment date online or in the EE app. Follow the steps here: Change your EE Direct Debit date or details.

If you pay another way, to change your billing date, please contact us by phone, and an EE Guide will make the changes on that call.

If you change to an earlier billing date

If you change your billing date to before your original date i.e. change it to 10 March from 31 March, then you won’t get a bill as usual. Instead:

  • Your next bill will be come on the date you’ve selected the following month.
  • It will include a charge for the period between your old date and the new one, and the month ahead, i.e. your old date was the 1st, you changed it to the  20th.
  • So, your next bill will cover 1-19th of the month and the entire month ahead.

If you change to a later billing date

If you change your billing date to after your original date i.e. change it to 6th March from 1st March, then your next bill:

  • Will include a charge for the period between 1st to 6th and the month ahead.
  • The following bill will return to normal.
