A pay as you go SIM is a type of mobile phone SIM card that allows you to pay for calls, texts, and data without a contract. Unlike pay monthly mobile plans that need a fixed monthly fee or long-term contract, pay as you go SIMs offer flexibility. You can choose either a Subscription Pack that has minutes, texts, and data for 30 days at a time or the Standard Rate option where you top up your balance in advance, and the credit is used for your phone usage. Once the balance and allowance run out, you’ll need to recharge or buy additional allowance to continue using the service.
We offer two types of plans:
• Subscription Packs: This pack includes minutes, texts, and data for the next 30 days. The packs rollover if there is balance for next month. You can also pay for the pack using your card (Subscribe To Save) on a continuous basis, saving you the hassle of maintaining a balance and having to remember to top up, and offering a 10% discount on your monthly price.
• Standard Rate: You can top up your balance in advance, and the credit is used for phone usage, with call costs at 40p per minute and text costs at 20p each. You’ll need to buy data packs for any data usage. When connecting with an Internet Browser, you’ll be directed to a Data Portal where these can be purchased.
Currently, we do not offer 5G on pay as you go.

How can I keep my current number?
If you’re moving from another network:
Step 1: Get your PAC number from your existing provider. Text 'PAC' to 65075 for free, and you'll receive a message with your PAC code within two hours. Note that cancellation charges may apply if you were on a contract.
Step 2: Provide this PAC Number to us by either filling out an online form or texting PORT to 150 from your EE phone.
You'll then go through a 2-step porting service.
If moving from Orange or T-Mobile, order your SIM from the dedicated Moving to EE section. Once the SIM is inserted, the number and any remaining credit will automatically transfer across.
Number transfers are not processed on Bank Holidays. More information is available on keeping your number page.
Yes, to use your number, you will need to top -up if you're on a Standard Rate Plan or if you need to have enough balance to pay for your Subscription Pack. When on a Subscription Pack, anything apart from minutes, texts, and data requires sufficient balance to pay for usage. There are various ways to top up your pay as you go mobile, detailed on https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile/manage-use/pay-as-you-go/top-up-my-phone
