A direct debit is a payment arrangement where you authorise EE to withdraw money directly from your bank account on a regular basis. It’s a convenient way to ensure your payments are made on time without having to manually process each transaction.

When you change your Direct Debit

Changing your Direct Debit date changes the date we produce your bill. How it impacts your next bill depends if you're making your bill date earlier or later than your original date.

Earlier: If your new bill date is before your next regular bill:

  • you are credited for any days you paid on your last bill that fall after the new bill date
  • you are charged for your full month's service from the new bill date

Later: If your new bill date is after your next regular bill:

  • you'll be charged the full month in advance for your next bill as normal
  • your new bill is then produced on the new date
  • you are credited for any days you were already charged for, that fall after the new bill date
  • you are charged for your full month's service from the new bill date
