Joint account or accounts with multiple signatories

The address to send it to is on the form; no stamp is required. Just fold in half, seal it and post it

We’ll confirm to you once your Direct Debit is set up. Payment will be taken around 8 days after your bill is produced, which we will let you know when that is.

Need to know

After you change your payment date, your bills will look different for a month or two, but this won’t change the amount you pay overall.

You can change your payment date after receiving your first bill. You can only change it once a month and up to twice a year. Changing the payment date also changes your billing date.

  1. Log into EE online
  2. Select Bills & Payments
  3. Choose either EE Mobile or EE Broadband
  4. Scroll down the page to Manage Direct Debit
  5. Select the new payment date
  6. Click Change payment date

Using the EE App

  1. Download or open the EE App on your mobile and log in
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap on Manage
  3. Tap on Billing
  4. Scroll down to Change Direct Debit date
  5. Select the new payment date
  6. Tap on Change the date

When you change your Direct Debit

  • Earlier payment date: You get a credit for days paid after the new bill date, and we charge you for a full month from that date.
  • Later payment date: We charge you for the whole month in advance, and you get a credit for days paid after the new bill date.

Troubleshooting issues with your Direct Debit

Wait a few days for bank holidays or technical delays, especially for your first payment.

If your bank refuses the payment, we’ll notify you. If there aren’t enough funds, we’ll try again within a few days.

If it fails again, you’ll see on your next bill that we couldn’t take the payment, and you may have to pay a late payment charge.

Possible reasons for payment failure:

  • incorrect bank account details
  • insufficient funds
  • payment exceeds Direct Debit limit
  • Direct Debit cancellation request
  • closed or transferred bank account

Please contact your bank if you need more help with this.
