WiFi Enhancer features

WiFi Enhancer has features like:

Game Mode or Work Mode which automatically prioritise online traffic and boost your home WiFi every time you fire up games and work-related apps.
Geo-filter, which helps you pick the best server for the game you're using.
Ping Optimiser to keep your ping low and curb buffering.

WiFi Enhancer won't work if you are on 4G with your Smart Hybrid Connect.

To set up, control and use WiFi Enhancer use the EE app.

Download the EE app for Android and Apple devices.

WiFi Enhancer in the app

Find WiFi Enhancer in the EE app:

Download the EE app.
Select WiFi Controls from the Home screen.
Tap WiFi Enhancer.
Choose Game Mode or Work Mode.
Select which mode you would like to boost by toggling it on or off (you can do both at once).

Remove WiFi Enhancer in the EE app

Open the EE app.
Select WiFi Controls from the Home screen.
Select WiFi Enhancer.
Select Remove WiFi Enhancer.

Using Game Mode and Work Mode at once

You can boost both Game Mode and Work Mode in WiFi Enhancer at the same time.

If your normal connection is particularly slow, then using both Work Mode and Game Mode might have an impact on each other.

Someone using one mode might not have the best experience compared to someone else using the other mode at the same time. Other people on your home network won’t have an improved service during their general internet use.

You can boost Game Mode and Work Mode continuously, by keeping the modes on at all times.

Turn on Game Mode

Open the EE app.
Select WiFi Controls from the Home screen.
Tap WiFi Enhancer.
Choose Game Mode.
Toggle Game Mode to on.

Finding a listed game

Open the EE app.
Select WiFi Controls from the Home screen.
Tap WiFi Enhancer.
Choose Game Mode.
Select See today's boosts.
Select Check supported games.

Can't find a game

If your game is part of WiFi Enhancer's listed games, make sure you're not using a Virtual Private Network (VPN) on your device.

If WiFi Enhancer isn't picking up your game, it might not be one of the popular games we have listed.

You can post on NETDUMA's support forum and ask to add your game. WiFi Enhancer is powered and supported by NETDUMA.

Even if your game is not featured, you will still benefit by boosting Game Mode as all gaming traffic will be prioritised on your network.

Turn on Work Mode

Open the EE app.
Tap WiFi Controls.
Tap WiFi Enhancer.
Choose Word Mode.
Toggle Work Mode to on.

If you are already in a place where latency is low then it means you are already getting a good ping and a good work from home experience.

You can re-run your ping optimiser to be sure.

To optimise your ping:

Open the EE app.
Tap WiFi Controls.
Tap WiFi Enhancer.
Select Optimise your ping and follow the steps.

Finding listed apps

Open the EE app.
Tap WiFi Controls.
Tap WiFi Enhancer.
Choose Game Mode.
Tap See today's boosts.
Select Check supported apps.

Can't find a work from home app

If your app should be part of WiFi Enhancer’s featured apps, make sure you’re not using a VPN on your device.

If WiFi Enhancer isn’t picking up your app, it might not be one of the popular apps we have listed.

You can reach out to NETDUMA on their support forum and create a support topic requesting for the app to be added.

Prioritise a game or app

WiFi Enhancer can’t prioritise an individual device. It works by prioritising apps or games on multiple devices, so it won’t matter which device or how many devices you use.

Using Geo-filter

Run Geo-filter to pick the best server for your game

Open the EE app.
Select WiFi Controls from the Home screen.
Select Geo-filter and follow the steps.

If you are already in a place where latency is low then it means you are already getting a good ping and a good gaming experience.
