WiFi Enhancer doesn't work if you are on a 4G connection with your Smart Hybrid Connect.

EE Work and Game Modes work with Smart Hub Pro and Smart Hub Plus.

Using Game Mode

EE’s Game Mode is designed to optimise your online gaming. It works in conjunction with your EE Smart Hub Pro or EE Smart Hub Plus. It prioritises online traffic to ensure a smoother and more responsive gaming experience.

Optimise Game Mode

Geo Filter: Select the best quality server for your online games, picking those closest to you, reducing the chance of lag and improving your gaming experience.

Ping Optimiser: This helps reduce server ping, the time it takes for your device to send and receive data from a game server. A lower ping means less lag and a more responsive gaming experience.

To turn Game Mode on:

  1. Open the EE app.
  2. Select Manage
  3. Select Broadband
  4. Tap WiFi Enhancer
  5. Choose Game Mode
  6. Toggle Game Mode to on

To optimise your ping:

Can't find your game?

If your game is part of WiFi Enhancer's listed games, make sure you're not using a Virtual Private Network (VPN) on your device.

If WiFi Enhancer isn't picking up your game, it might not be one of the popular games we have listed.

You can post on NETDUMA's support forum and ask to add your game. WiFi Enhancer is powered and supported by NETDUMA.

Even if your game is not featured, you will still benefit by using Game Mode as all gaming traffic will be prioritised on your network.

Using Work Mode

EE Work Mode optimises your broadband connection for work-related activities. It prioritises your connection for applications such as video conferencing (i.e. Microsoft teams or Zoom) and file transfers. It works in conjunction with your EE Smart Hub Pro or EE Smart Hub Plus.

How Work Mode works

Prioritisation: When turned on, your hub prioritises network traffic for work applications, regardless what is going on with your broadband.

Reduced latency: Work Mode aims to minimise delay in data transmission, which can impact real-time communications such as online meetings or video calls.

Stability: By prioritising your work broadband traffic, EE Work Mode helps to maintain a stable connection, reducing the risk of dropped calls, buffering or disconnections.

To turn work mode on:

  1. Open the EE app.
  2. Select Manage
  3. Select Broadband.
  4. Tap WiFi Enhancer.
  5. Choose Work Mode.
  6. Toggle Work Mode to on.

Can't find your work app?

If your work app is part of WiFi Enhancer's listed apps, make sure you're not using a Virtual Private Network (VPN) on your device.

If WiFi Enhancer isn't picking up your work app, it might not be one of the popular apps we have listed.

You can post on NETDUMA's support forum and ask to add your work app. WiFi Enhancer is powered and supported by NETDUMA.

Even if your work app is not featured, you will still benefit by using Work Mode as all work app traffic will be prioritised on your network.

Using Game Mode and Work Mode at the same time

You can boost both Game Mode and Work Mode in WiFi Enhancer at the same time. If your normal connection is slow, then using both Work Mode and Game Mode might have an impact on each other.

Someone using one mode might not have the best experience compared to someone else using the other mode at the same time. Other people on your home network won’t have an improved service during their general internet use.

You can boost Game Mode and Work Mode continuously by keeping the modes on at all times.
