About Health Check

This article explains how our Health Check service automatically tests your broadband connection to make sure you get the best experience from day one.

How the EE Broadband Health Check works

When you join

We'll run some broadband health checks on the day your service is activated to make sure your devices are set up and your connection is working. And if there's a problem, we'll get it sorted quickly. Then we'll test it again a few days later.

If we find a problem

If we see that your hub isn't setup correctly, we'll send you a text message and give you advice on how to fix this. If we find an issue that you can't fix, we'll send you a text message to let you know the next steps.

Keeping you informed

Once your broadband service is up and running, if there's a broadband outage in your area, we’ll send you a text message to keep you informed on when it’s fixed.

Run a test yourself

If you ever want to check if there is a network issue yourself, you can use our helpful online Service Status Checker.

You can also do a speed test yourself, at any time, in the EE app:

  1. Download and open the EE app.
  2. Select Manage.
  3. Select Broadband.
  4. Select Test speed in your Smart Hub tile.
