Upgrade early with EE

If you’re ready for a new device but your current plan hasn’t ended yet, EE makes it easy to upgrade early. Find out how early upgrades work, what you’ll need to qualify, and the options available to get your next phone or tablet sooner.

What you need to upgrade early

You’ll have to pay an early upgrade fee. Your early upgrade fee will depend on how much time is left on your plan.

You can’t upgrade early if you’re a mobile broadband or business customer.

You need to be:

  • on an eligible pay monthly plan with EE
  • six months or more into your contract 
  • have more than 30 days until your current plan ends

Upgrade Anytime

Alternatively, if you're eligible for Upgrade Anytime, you can get a new phone just 15 days after starting a new plan.

Device credit agreement

If you have a device credit agreement, you can upgrade your phone from day 15 of a new plan. You’ll need to pay off the remaining balance.
