- Download and log in to the EE app.
- Select Manage.
- Select Mobiles and SIMs.
- If you have more than one on your account, choose the number or device you want to upgrade.
- Review your available options.
- Follow the on-screen steps to complete your upgrade.
When you can upgrade
You may be able to upgrade your phone before your current plan ends.
You can usually upgrade:
- in the last 30 days of your plan, with no early upgrade cost
- in the last 100 days of your plan if your new plan costs more than your current one
- from day 15 of a device credit plan if you pay off any remaining device balance
Your eligibility depends on your plan and account status.
How to upgrade
If you're eligible
You can:
- choose a new phone and plan
- move to a plan only option
- trade in your current phone and put the value towards your upgrade, where available
Options when your contract ends
When your minimum term ends, you can choose the option that works best for you.

Get a new phone with Flex Pay
Upgrade to a new phone and spread the cost with Flex Pay. You'll be able to choose a new device and a plan that suits your needs.
Keep your phone and move to a plan only option
If you're happy with your current phone, you can switch to a plan only option and continue using it.
Getting a new phone while you're in contract
You may still be able to get a new phone before your current plan ends.
Your options depend on your plan and where you are in your minimum term.
You might be able to:
- upgrade in the last 100 days of your plan
- pay off any remaining device balance and upgrade early
- choose from other upgrade options available on your account
Changed your mind?
If you've upgraded and changed your mind, you can cancel within 14 days unless you've already traded in your phone.
To cancel, complete the returns form within 14 days.
