  • How does a Subscription Pack work?

    Set up monthly card payments or top up enough to cover the cost of your Subscription Pack and your Subscription Pack will activate when you make your first call, text or use data.

    Your Subscription Pack will last for up to 30 days, depending on the type you’ve chosen, and will automatically renew after this time if monthly card payments are set up or as long as you have enough credit.

    You can call/text 150 to swap between packs at any time. Your new Subscription Pack will start when your current one ends.

    The longer you buy Subscription Packs for, the better they get. Every two Subscription Packs you get a free 500MB Data Boost. This Free Boost will be automatically added to your Subscription Pack and every Subscription Pack after that, up to maximum of six boosts. And, with Data Rollover, any unused data now rolls over into the next one you buy, so you get a second chance to use it.

  • What happens if I use up my Subscription Pack early?

    If you use up any of your allowances, you can start a new Subscription Pack early. Check you have enough credit and then text NOW to 150. We’ll remove your current Subscription Pack and replace it with a new one.

    If you regularly use up your Subscription Pack allowances early you may want to switch to a bigger pack. To do this just log in to EE, click pack and add-ons in the menu, and under Next pack, click CHANGE.

  • Will the SIM fit my device?

    Yes – our multi SIMs are designed to fit any device, just pop out the size to fit yours.

  • How do I keep my number?

    If you’re moving from Orange or T-Mobile, simply order your SIM from our dedicated Moving to EE section. Once you insert your SIM we’ll automatically move your number and any remaining credit across.

    If you’re moving to us from another network, don’t worry – there’s a simple process all network providers follow to make things easy for everyone. Call your old network to say you’re leaving and they’ll give you a special code called a Port Authorisation Code (PAC) that you’ll need to give us when you receive your new EE SIM through the post or in store.

    Please be aware number transfers are not processed on Bank Holidays. Read more useful information on keeping your number.

  • Can I use my Subscription Pack allowances abroad?

    You can take your Subscription Pack allowances with you to 47 destinations across Europe. However, from the 6th June 2023, EU roaming charges will apply.

    When you arrive at your EU destination, you’ll receive a welcome text from us detailing your available EU Roaming options. To use your full pack allowance for 24 hours, you can pay £2.50 and text ROAMEU1D to 150. Alternatively, text ROAMEU7D to use your full pack allowance for 7 days at a cost of £10. Once you have selected your roaming option, we will send you a confirmation text confirming your allowance period has started and a text when this is about to expire. This will give you the option to renew or explore alternatives.

    If you don’t select one of the EU Roaming options above, you will be charged the standard EU Roaming rates for calls and texts (70p per minute and 30p per text) and the option to buy a 500MB data add-on for £3 (lasts 24 hours).

    The destinations covered are Austria, Azores, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Canary Islands, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, French Guyana, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Guadeloupe, Guernsey, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Jersey, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Madeira, Malta, Martinique, Mayotte, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Reunion Islands, Romania, San Marino, Saint Martin (French), Saint Barthelemy, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Vatican City (Italy).

    Note: Turkey (you may connect to a Turkish network in Northern Cyprus) and Andorra are outside the EU/EEA and not included in our European Roaming Zone.

    Note: Republic of Ireland, customers will be able to use their pack allowances as they do in the UK at no extra charge. If you exceed your pack allowance, you will be charged at standard UK rates.

  • What are 4G Calling and WiFi Calling?

    4G Calling and WiFi Calling are now available on our pay as you go devices so you can stay connected in more places.

    WiFi Calling allows you to make and receive calls and texts automatically where you have a WiFi connection, even without network coverage. Once activated, it’s automatic - just switch it on in your phone settings.

    4G Calling allows you to take advantage of crystal-clear HD Voice calls, so you can browse the web while on a phone call, whether you're checking a map, sending a WhatsApp, or browsing Instagram.

  • The legal bit

    Use your pack allowance to call/text UK mobiles and landlines starting 01, 02 and 03 when in UK. Data allowance in packs or add-ons can also be used in the UK. For information on using your pack abroad, see ee.co.uk/terms for countries and details. 4G phone required for 4G speeds. Call, text or top-up every 180 days or you will be disconnected and lose any credit on your account. Personal use only. Packs automatically recur if sufficient credit. Pack cancelled if it hasn’t recurred within 30 days of previous pack expiry. Opt out at any time.

    Customers joining EE on a Pay As You Go Plan from 10 March 2023 will have their speed capped at 25 Mbps.

    Card Payments: To pay for packs with a credit/debit card you need to set up a services-on-demand arrangement authorising us to take payment from the credit/debit card you register (“Card Payment”). 10% discount off the cost of your Pack when paying with a credit/debit card. Only available on packs launched in or after 2021. You have 14 days from the date of your first purchase by Card Payment arrangement to change your mind and tell us you want to cancel the arrangement. You will have to pay for any services used during that period. If you pay for recurring services via Card Payment you agree that we can automatically take payment for future recurring services from your card, (“continuous payment authority”). You can cancel your Card Payment and/or continuous payment authority at any time in EE or by calling 150. We will stop your continuous payment authority if you don’t make a call, text or use any data for 90 days.

    WiFi Coverage Boost: Access to up to 150,000 BT wi-fi hotspots across the UK and London Underground wi-fi access in enabled stations. Subject to device compatibility. Seamless connection for iOS handsets when in range of a hotspot.  To connect on an Android device, manual sign-in required when in an EE retail store or in range of a London Underground hotspot or by configuring settings manually. After initial connection, subsequent connection will be seamless. BT Wi-Fi hotspots subject to change.  London Underground wi-fi access available in ticket halls, escalators, platforms and when the train is in the station. No coverage in the tunnels. Active EE mobile customers only. You are an active pay as you go customer if your pay as you go account has been topped up with a minimum of £5 within the last 30 days. If your last top up took place more than 30 days ago, it can take up to two days from the date of your latest top up to update your account and provide you with access to the service.  Compatible device required.     Free Boosts: Applied after purchase of 2nd pack. Only on packs £10 or higher. Lasts for pack duration and doesn’t roll over. Maximum of 6 Boosts can be accrued on eligible packs.

    Data Rollover: Data from add-ons or free boosts will not roll over. Buy a new Pack within 7 days of expiry of the original Pack with unused data to qualify. Rollover data lasts for 30 days and will not roll over a second time. Data applied as follows: 1. Rollover data; 2. Core pack allowance; 3. Free Boosts.

    Refer a Friend: The Friend must be over 18, not already an EE customer and must purchase a pack costing £10 or more. Voucher sent by email within 45 days of Friends’ purchase. Full terms apply. See ee.co.uk/terms.

    EU Roaming: If you have a PAYG Pack you can access your allowances in the EU/EEA (see the Price Guide for details of our Europe Zone) for either 24 hours or 7 days for an additional charge. You can only opt in to the additional charge when you arrive in in our Europe Zone. You will need sufficient credit balance and the charge is deducted from your credit balance when you opt in. If you do not have an active Pack or do not opt in to access your allowances in our Europe Zone, you will be charged as set out in PAYG Non-standard Price Guide at ee.co.uk/priceguides. You will not be able to use data unless you buy a EU roaming data add-on.
