Returning a mobile device or SIM (within 14 days)

Here's how to return your mobile device, SIM, or mobile broadband product if you bought it from EE in the last 14 days.

If you bought your device or SIM from another retailer, please contact them directly.

How to return your device or SIM

By text (quickest way)

  • text RETURN to 150 from any EE mobile
  • follow the instructions we send you
  • no need to return a SIM, but we’ll cancel your upgrade or new connection

Return a mobile device by post

Once your return is confirmed:

  • we’ll send you a Royal Mail Special Delivery bag (silver bag)
  • pack your device, accessories, and any free gifts
  • turn off any security features such as Find My iPhone
  • post it back using the silver bag

If we don’t receive your return within 30 days, we’ll assume you’re keeping it and your contract will continue.

Need to know

There may be an additional charge to your bill if Find My iPhone is not removed from your iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch.

Returning to an EE store

If you bought your device in-store and have coverage issues:

  • visit the same store within 14 days
  • bring your receipt, original packaging, and all accessories

In-store returns aren't available for:

  • devices/accessories not in saleable condition
  • pay as you go top ups
  • EE Broadband equipment
  • insurance services (check your policy)

Devices bought with a credit agreement

  • you have 14 days to return the device
  • text RETURN to 150 from any EE phone
  • the device must be in good condition
  • your credit agreement will be cancelled, and your old plan (if any) will resume

Want to keep the device?

You can cancel the credit agreement within 14 days and pay off the device in full within 30 days.

About refunds

  • refunds (including deposits or upfront payments) are processed within 14 days of receiving your return
  • applies to card and PayPal payments
  • you won’t be refunded for services already used
  • if you’re on a pay monthly plan, you’ll get a final bill for any usage
