Device Usage on your EE WiFi

Learn how to track how long certain devices spend online using Device Usage.

Device Usage is part of your EE parental controls and helps you keep an eye on online time for a group of devices. It can be useful if you're managing your child’s screen time or want to understand how your household uses the internet during the day.

Device Usage is available on Smart Hub 6 Plus and Smart Hub 7 Pro. You can turn it on in the Broadband section of the EE app, under Manage.

When you turn something on using a toggle, you're switching a feature from off to on with one tap. Screen readers will read out each step number so everyone can follow along easily.

Turning on Device Usage

To set up Device Usage in the EE app:

  1. Open the EE app.
  2. Select Manage.
  3. Select Broadband.
  4. Scroll down the dashboard until you find Device Usage.
  5. Turn Device Usage on by selecting the toggle. Device monitoring is now active.
  6. Scroll down to Groups and choose the group you want to monitor.
  7. On the Group page, scroll down to Device Usage.
  8. Turn Device Usage on by selecting the toggle.

It takes about 24 hours for your first set of data to appear.

You’ll see activity for the last day and the last 7 days.
